Chemicals Division handles a wide range of commodity, specialty and functional
chemicals, such as olefines, aromatics, chlor-alkali products, pharmaceuticals,
food ingredients, catalysts, water treatment chemicals, packaging materials,
engineering plastics, titanium dioxide (pigment, nano-particle, photocatalytic
grades), manganese products.
Its activities cover trading, marketing and distribution of imported products
from competitive, stable sources worldwide which include joint-venture companies
in oil/gas-producing countries.
With value-added service such as logistics, project planning and coordination,
financing and equity participation, the experienced professionals of CHE
Division can provide significant knowledge to their customers.
Its target is to accurately present solutions to rapidly changing customers'
needs through evaluation of technology and analysis of business information
obtained through Mitsubishi Corporation's global network.
Enhancing its ability as an 'allrounder' CHE Division also supervises and
assists in the operation of Mitsubishi Corporation's Europe-based subsidiaries:
Hishiplastics Europe in Belgium, a manufacturer of PVC shrink tubes, Miteni
in Italy, producing fluorochemicals used as intermediates for pharmaceuticals
and agrochemicals, and Tosoh Hellas in Greece, a producer of electrolytic
manganese dioxide.
